I've been working on some needles and some hybrid swimmers...

The larger needles are weighted in the tail and in front of the belly hook and are areound 2 1/4 oz, the slimmer needles are not weighted and are around 1.5 oz.

And the swimmers...

The one shaped like a Danny does a nice slow back and forth, the other swims like it's running for its life....

BigBo's on the money, its from GotStripers. Sweet stuff :kewl: I still have to get some green over pearl for the green ones...

FF, I didn't do anything fancy with the stain. When I put it on, I'd stain the whole plug quick, let it sink in for a few seconds (maybe 10), then I really wiped it down good and hard to soak up the stain so it wouldn't get any darker. I did this a couple of times till I got the colors the way I liked.

You can get a nice variation of the stain by shellacking them first then sanding then staining. Makes for an even application, deminishes the grain somewhat. By the wayyy. How did you do the back wrap on the small swimmers?
