What do you think of the Springfield V10 ultra compact?? You know how hard it is to find Mass compliant 1911's. I found one of these,it has a ported barrel

I'm hearing this second-hand from a reasonable source - there are two makes right now that are giving people a hard time and Springfield is one of them (reliability issues). Surprisingly, Kimber is the other (!). I am VERY partial to Kimber and I would urge you to take a look at all your options. Might want to ask around. I just don't have any firsthand knowledge of the newer Springfield 1911's. If all else fails, get a Colt (steel frame, not aluminum) and get it upgraded. -B TheSpecialist 04-16-2005, 06:48 PM Ben this is actually an older one. I don't think they make the V10 ported ones anymore. It's tough up here, used colt are going 700 and up, new smiths with anything but fixed sites, are like 900 +, the scandiums are like 900.... This crap sucks.. :crying: fishweewee 04-17-2005, 04:28 PM Bill, Para-Ordinance just came out with a 3 inch model . . . I was told this was the cat's ass. But you want a ported bbl... TheSpecialist 04-17-2005, 07:10 PM No need for a ported, but the gun has to be Mass Compliant. Para's new ones are not compliant yet, they were supposed to get it done, don't know what is taking them so long. I think I am going to wait I heard good stuff about the new line of Para's, and I got a 14-45 limited that I love. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
