Roop jsullivan 04-19-2005, 09:55 AM thanks thats the tickett Mr. Sandman 05-23-2005, 08:42 AM This is a fun event if you fly fish. Some very good fly fisherman fish this. I don't think it is a big prize event like the fall derby and (I think) it only is one night from 7pm-2am with a breakfast the next morning. All catch and release. My wife fishes in it with some friends and I may go this year as well. I am not a big fly-guy but I like fish and have a new fly rod so I will probably give it a go this year. I like to mil around and see who's there. Every year she has fished it the weather has been nasty. I told her when she was walking out the door one year with a 9 wt that she will need a 11' surf stick and a 3.5 oz Habs needle to cut thru that wind. How are you going to cast a deciever? Lets hope for a good weather and more fish. fishsmith 05-23-2005, 09:34 AM to cut thru that wind. How are you going to cast a deciever? When it's blowing in your face and you have room behind you, cast away from the water and use your backcast to drop the fly. I don't know why this works but it does. Sandman, if you fish it, use small piece of bait vs. a fly, this works well (a few scup maybe) and drives the purist crazy. :laugha: Pete 05-24-2005, 06:42 AM to cut thru that wind.
