Are their software programs you can buy that are intended for a FISHING log?
If anyone does keep one on a computer, did you made you're own program
if you can not but a program?
Thanks

Memories of when I used to keep little notebooks when I went freshwater fishing and kept track of every fish I caught... :)

While I am sure you can find a program that would do it, you could probably also build a little access database easy enough... Though depending on how expensive the program is and how much you know about access, might be alot easier to just buy one if you find it.

I use Micosoft word

I put in location, date, time tide, weather,
and wind direction
bait/ plug used, and a story about
the trip, I include the people I was with

you could probably make a templet for this
Location:
Date:
Time:
Tide:
Wind:
Bait/ plug:

You could make a nice one using microsoft xcell. Then you could search for specific info.
I think I'll give that a try.

I FINALLY started to keep a log this year. For now, it is just a word document. I just put together a quick little paragraph the morning after each trip. For now, it will work. Once I get the computer set up at home, I plan to make something a little more advanced and thorough. I did see a link posted recently somewhere to a program you can purchase online. If I stumble across it agaain, I'll post it up here.

Microsoft Excel lends itself to the log.

The cells are easily minipulated and formatted.

I tweak it a bit each year. I think its a bit too much to try and note the the tide, wind, temp, etc. of each fish. So I put in general conditions and then note specifics when I do really well.

I started keeping a bog and I think what I am going to do is print it up in a journal form form my son and I and our fishing. I keep the info like time, tide general idea of location (I'll pencil in my small notebook exact on the boat) and what the day produce fish, fun , laughs and of course pictures.

I share it with a few people since they give you the option to make it private
