Sorry to hear/see that. Hopefully no damage to the boat.

Something similar happened today to me but not as bad. I get a calll from a nieghbor as I am away from home. I immediately ask, "whats wrong, did a tree come down?" He says, "not a tree but...."

The tarp over my boat created so much resistance that the wind knocked my trailered boat right off it's stand and turned it the other way. I now have it attached to my truck with the plug in filled somewhat with water to weight it down. The wind around here has been unbeilevable.

Bummer bigcat. Hopefully there is no damage and you can get out on the water right away. Depressing sight though. Best of luck my friend.

So far all I can see for damage the right side trim tab got ripped off, vhf antenna, and some gelcoat damage on the gunwale.
I mentioned to my neighbor that the trees were dangerous, I had to cut up the trees up to move the boat one more tree ready to fall, only a small oak holding it up.

Does anyone know what exactly a neighbors responsibility is for their trees that are hanging over your property line?

They are responsible on their home owners policy.

and I beleive u have the right to cut anything thats hanging over into your yard...but it doesn't mean u can cut the tree down altogether if it's their yard......
