1 No oil , chain works best dry.
2 lucite should be fine. Not sure but it may be a little more brittle than lexan.

eben- what Mac said and hit the inards with your compressor once in a while.
ahh no oil. Thats the problem then... I oiled it. it makes sense as the oil simply makes the shavings stick to the chain.
Salty its the midi model.

When you come up I'll show you some tricks on the pro model which you should be able to use on the midi.

Eben I have the same model I put 3&1 on it but also blow it with air and keep the correct tension on the chain mine runs fine, if im workin with cedar I can take more off on a pass than a harder wood. Dont know how long you had it but its a great toy once you get familar with it .. :pop:
ohh I know its a great toy :D on my next run i'll fire up the compressah and see how it goes..........

I'ben ;) been using 1/8" starboard for my templates. I started using it only because i had it lying around. It's not as hard as lexan, so it might not be as durable, but i find it easier to shape, and i keep the templates tucked away when not in use just so they wont get dinged.
If you want to try it i'll give ya a piece.
