Anyone got a junker laying around that would get me through the summer? My truck broke down over the weekend, and i think is gonna need some major transmission work , that im not gonna be able to afford. Looking to spend around a $1000 or less. Possibly more $$ if it was a toyota or mazda pick-up.
Thanks

I have 2 junkers for free. 1 1988 mazda 626 gt turbo hatchback. Needs a starter for starters. Also a 1983 Dodge Ram Prospector in rough shape. Had 69,000 when the head gasket blew in 1994. No title for the Ram but have the old registration, clean title for the mazda.

I have a 89 buick century 4 door, 87000 miles. well under $1000. pm me for details + we'll talk.
Got it for my daughter but she's being a deadbeat, and i'm not footing the whole bill for another car in the family.
Drive this for the summer and re-sell in the fall for what your into it for....

I have a 1990 Subaru legacy wagon. I've been driving it for the past couple years as a commuter vehicle. Very reliable, just passed CT emmissions (Good for 2 years). Would sell for well below 1000.

2 more - And you can get a good sized cooler in the trunk - or remove the rear seat :hihi:
I "might" have some racks that will fit on the roof - you can hang your fishing rods on. I'll have to see if they'll fit.

THANKS GUYS, not gonna need a new ride, turns out it only needed transfer case and not a whole new transmission like the 1st mechanic thought, so near as much as he said.

The Buick is back up for grabs... Chef is all set with a ride.
Been getting some work done on it the last few nights, new radiator, patching some cancer spots in the trunk, oil + filters, basic checkover, ect.
looks like i'll be into it for between $675. to $725. when its ready to roll.
Thats what I'll ask for her, what i'm into it for.
