But I suppose you can't complain about passing almost every powerboat on Buzzards Bay under sail. :hihi:

Sweet! And to be headed in the favorable direction. Kevlar down and reacher up, no white water on deck, Seems every delivery I did was uphill.... What hull is that?

Shindig - Andrews 70 Turbo Sled
ex Titan XI
ex Grins

We blew the leech off a #3 that was getting tired on our second ride out through Quicks of the day and switched to a Carbon #4... STILL did 12 knots upwind with that and the delivery main.

On the ride back in the dark switched to the blast reacher in 20+ and hit some 18's and 19's, but obviously there wasn't time or light to take those pics. ;)

such a sweet boat. I got a good closeup as we nailed schoolies within 50 yards of where she is moored.

what races will you do this summer?

Let me know if you ever need crew, I lost my ride on a J105 this summer. :(

Dunno what we're doing this summer, I know the owner is one of the helmsmen on the Frers 94 Keturah (ex-K2) so his schedule is pretty busy anyhow.

Prolly Whalers and some other minor stuff.
Possibly Newport-Bermuda next year.

Atleast for the bigger stuff we'll have some superstars on the boat like the North Sails Toronto loft manager, etc. But pretty much most of the summer we'll just be farting around flying A sails and the Code 0 as much as possible.

Hopefully the weather will break and we'll have some real fun on the boat.

seriously, if you ever need crew let me know. I have raced with the same team on buzzards bay for the past 4 years. Unfortunately due to boat owner illness we will probably only do a few weds. night NBYC races and maybe some thursdays nights down in marion - j105 one design.

Let me know.

J/105's are a ton of fun.

You seen Victor Pinheiro's boat yet? The Aerodyne.
We took that last spring down to some place in CT for a single handed race, it moves quite nicely. He's attempting the Bermuda 1-2 with his dad again this year, hope he makes it this time.

I'll let you know if a need comes up, but right now we've just been messing around getting everyone comfortable with the boat again. :)

Pretty hard to effectively go a few hundred miles at a time without breaking the bank, also every long distance record is owned by sail. :hihi:

a 3 hour tour can turn into 50 hours to Bermuda.

Turbo Sleds... the only way to fly. :usd:
