Interested in anyone's opinion on using 302 stainless for thru wire. Got plenty and know it is not as corrosion resistant as 304 and 316 but I have it in dia.'s under .062. I need a smaller dia. say .051 and was considering the 302. I am sure it is strong enough but not sure of the longevity of it. Paul

I think it's higher carbon than 304 but both are less corrosion resistant than 316. As long as there is no electricity, only mojo, in your plugs I don't think it will matter.

Use it. With any luck the fish will beat up the plugs long before the wire presents a problem!!!
