Slipknot 05-15-2005, 08:33 PM i have a 965 that is doing nothing, sorry it's not a 975. likwid 05-18-2005, 04:04 PM Thanks for the 965 Slip, I think its gonna replace one of my other reels (been playing with it between the rain and hail). Still looking for a 975. thewaterfordstriper 05-21-2005, 02:10 PM what kind of condition are you looking for and around what price are you looking spend? Mr. Sandman 05-21-2005, 02:48 PM Actually, out of all the penn reels I own these have held up the best (besides the 50W's). I don't cast with them but put on some PP braid and you have a great fluke reel IMO. All they get is a rinse off and annual service and fresh line each season. They are light and have enough power for deep bottom fishing. I would not get one for surfcasting but I suppose it could be ussed that way. The only issue I have is "the button" could be better designed. I would not buy another one (would get the small gold shimano levelwind) but I think these work good for bottom fishing. likwid 05-21-2005, 11:45 PM what kind of condition are you looking for and around what price are you looking spend? I think they work great as long as you know how to care for a Penn International.... Aka... don't touch anything... just wipe it down and oil it once every couple weeks depending on use. fishdog13 05-24-2005, 07:32 PM just got mine back from being cleaned and checked .1 year old 975 Ld have box too . make me an offer vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
