Mike,
When the boat sells , I assume you plan to down size ?

thefishingfreak
05-21-2005, 05:33 PM
if you ask me, i plan to downsize to a 16' center console for the summer. the "me myself and i".{and a bunch of live bait}
if you ask my wife, "WE" plan to upsize to a 32' bhm for a few years.
for us and the three kids. :hidin:

Mike, I hope you get what the boat is worth. That's alot of boat there and no reserve :fishslap:  I'm sure it's worth twice what it's at now. Be careful, the high bidder has zero feedback.

Selling boats is a pain in the arse. That is a real nice boat, I am sure you are sad to see it go.

I am curious as to how your transaction works out. I have a boat on there now. Did anybody come out to see the boat or send a surveyor?

ebay is the way to go!! :boots:
down to the wire till the last twenty minutes then it was guys just trying to outbid each other.
gotta love those last minute lurkers.

allready got my one thousand dollar down payment.

the winning bidder is on lake Erie, Ohio.
he's gonna turn it into a kick ass walleye boat. :lasso:

so the wifey gets it's all :hihi:
:humpty: :bc: allready got my eye on a little beater for the summer so i can get out in the harbor. paint it up all pretty this winter and make a cople bux then think about a diesel downeast for next year.

slapshot..... he asked me one question thru e-mail concerning the general condition of the boat, and i told him strait up what it needs. that was on day one. so he was watching the whole time i guess. came in last 30 seconds and got it.even sent him pics of the cracks here and there.
i think if you make the add more persolal { three kids, no time anymore, hate to see it go, blahh, blaa, blahh} instead of strait forward dealership style you'll get alot more interest.
everyone said i was nutz but i think the NO reserve helped me out too. because they knew that this boat was going home with "someone" at the end of the auction.
good luck with your sale.

Mike, congrats on the sale. Glad the "no reserve" worked out for ya. I may do that with mine. Did you get what you expected or more??? Just curious.

thefishingfreak
05-26-2005, 05:09 PM

you just gotta grit your teeth till the last ten minutes then hope for the best.

Thanks, I took your advice and stuck it in there low with no reserve. Only one bid so far, got about 4 days to go. I am trying to get rid of my CT River jet boat that I just don't use much to justify parking next to the other boat. If anybody is looking for a freshwater bass style jet boat, its there a 17 foot Sylvan with a 55/35 suzuki jet.
