I go up for a few weeks each summer to Damaiscota lake. I usually fish the lake. I have made a few trips to mouth of the Kennebec:Ried/The Fort/ and Popham Beach

I have spent most summers since I was 4 about 28 years on the beach in Popham. Awesome place to fish.

I get up there at times... however, the drive from Kittery is not that far, be it by car or boat.

I cheat, I'm from Yarmouth, ME. I fish the Kennebec after July 1,. Before that it's Casco Bay/Broad Sound. Schoolies are in, I've been catching them all week. I know it's small pickins for you guys from MA, CT and RI but it's what we've been waiting all mud season for......... :bl:

we have a great fishery on the Kennebec just downriver from Augasta, I moved here 4 years ago from CT. and just got my first maine boat :boots: . I picked up a 17' proline and am psyched to learn this river better. Last year I caught my first 50# striper and it was from shore 51".
If anyone knows my river give me an email and I would be more than willing to take you out....visitors are also welcome as I live on the river and will be spending EVERY night on her from now till November

Hey, 'Bec,

Congrats on that fifty. Did you catch it in Maine? That's a big one for up there.

I fish the river every year...I have friends in Woolwich...I don't know the boat spots...only fish from shore...it's a terrific fishery, you're a lucky guy to live there.

Best, R'Man

What part of the river do yo live on? I usually fish from Bath down to the mouth of the river. I fish the Kenny quite alot. My recommendation is to get a map and fish the structure. It takes me about 1 hour to get to Bath from my house.

I live at the outflow of the Cobbasee stream in Gardiner, and generally fish the mouth of the stream. The mouth is where I caught the 51" last August.
The fish stared showing up last week with our Alewife run. If anyone comes up to Gardiner stop in at Harvey's Hardware, that's my family business and we can wet a line.
