I'm looking for a jigging stick for the ditch. Already own the arra 1322, not enough nuts for 4-6 oz. jigs. Want 10.5 - 11' lami but not sure which one.Looking at the gsb1321m but I'm curious to know if anyone has cut the tip to a 12 for added stiffness. I feel the xra1261mh is too slow of an action. Has there been any gsb1361mh blanks cut off at the butt ;that might be answer?

just realized the135 has a size 20 tip so that's out of the question. By the way, I'm a lami guy all the way.

Yep, great jigging stick for a 10'-6" rod if that's the length you want. Alot of guys jig the canal with that. It's for heavy jigs.

Yep , if it has to be a Lami , the XRA126 1 MH is the one. The Allstar 1209 is great for 4 to 6 and is as fast action as any rod you can imagine. They have been discontinued the factory rods but the blank is still available so a custom can be built.
I just built myself a rod on a Century Tip Tornado cut to 10'10 inches. The blank comes in at 11 feet 8 inches. I cut it to fit in my blazer assembled (its a two piece rod with a Gearbox butt section so you can cut it however you like from the butt end without changing the action ) and its awesome for casting. It will easily handle your 6 OZ jigs. The action is also very fast although its not a pool cue like the Allstar 1209. I was casting to the center span of the railroad bridge with it and I didn't even have good footing to really crank it.

What about the ZZiplex Sea Raider 2
I am thinking about having one built for Canal jigging

Sea Raider II looks like it would build into a nice canal rod. I opted for the Century Tip Tornado light instead but the Ziplex was definitely one of the contenders.

"a Gearbox butt section"
Salt, can you expand on this further?

the butt section does not bend at all (not even a little bit) . Its stiff and all the action is in the tip section so it doesn't affect the rod action by cutting the butt section.

The Sea Raider II is a great canal rod and will cast up to 6 easily. However I prefer it for jigging with up to 5. 6 is really pushing it for easily lifting a jig.

I use the Tica tc2 heavy ueha630502c Graphite fast 10' rated 2/8 oz I changed the tip to a fugi sic cause I use braid, off the rack , not a flashy rod and you can lay right into it .. This rod throws 5 to 6oz jigs and also my HEAVY poppers with action you cant belive ,way under a C note , PM mike CC he can hook you up with one spinning or conventional
