Flaptail 05-25-2005, 12:16 PM Best advice I can give you is to use the Saquatucket facility in East Harwich on rt. 28. You will pay but it's a good ramp, has fuel and you can get weather conditions at the office up to the minute. Only three miles from Monomoy on the Western side. If you went out of Stage you would have to go around the entire Island anyway to get out front and tide can be a factor if your rig is on the larger side and parking sucks there too. Ryders Cove in Chatham off of rt. 28 is good but parking usually sucks. Hope that helps :usd: Cod Hunter 05-25-2005, 12:27 PM Exactly what I was looking for Flaptail. Thanks for the options. I'm looking to fish the rips around Monomoy so what you suggest sounds like it will work out great for me. There is no public ramp at the Chatham Municipal Pier right? Flaptail 05-25-2005, 01:47 PM nope. RIROCKHOUND 05-25-2005, 03:14 PM Ryders Cove is a great off-season ramp, we were using it montly to launch our small research vessel, in the winter/late fall/early spring it's great, but gets packed in the summer... and there is limited parking, it is a well made ramp, and easy, but there is only one small float to get ready to trailer it if your alone... it's definetly a one shot ramp if people are waiting; more than that and you'll be getting some dirty looks from the 'rakers who use it daily..... Hooper 06-01-2005, 05:25 AM Flaptail is 100% correct! It's a shame there are really no decent ramps in Chatham, but maybe that's a good thing, there would be massive traffic jams and fights galore :hs: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
