Has anyone found that coating the open ends with epoxy or zinc chromate prevents corrosion?

Slipknot 06-15-2005, 08:03 PM I just put a little hard as nails nail polish on them, it helps. I rinse my plugs when I can, even if it is the next day. I think fresh water rinsing is the most important thing to prevent corrosion. justplugit 06-16-2005, 08:52 AM Thanks Slip, i'm making a plug that's got "split ring hook hang up disease" and need to cut some vmc's to cure it. ProfessorM 06-16-2005, 10:45 AM Dave I use the hard as nails too. It seems to work. I got the same split ring thing problem too. I always rinse plugs. Paul justplugit 06-16-2005, 07:43 PM Thanks Paul, wiil do. :hihi: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
