I know where I'm off to tomorrow, but I've got to find me some warmer clothes burrrrrrr. If anyones game for some schoolie action give me a shoot, because I'm running solo right now. Last weekend I nailed 40 and the Fish Connection says the harbors free of ice, which is good because I was afraid this rash of cold weather might start to lock things up. Still, I plan on putting a shovel, bucket of sand and my 5 foot ice chisel in the car just in case.

Well so much for those plans. I spent all afternoon at SS Hosp, where my Dad was taken by ambulance this afternoon. He had a TIA, which I guess is Greek for pre-stroke episode. Probably due to some blocked arteries or the like. He had a quad bypass 1-1/2 years ago and a stroke resulting from that, so he's been battling back ever since.

Ironic because a few days ago, I commented on how well he looked. We had a family reunion just 2 days ago, when he was presented with a shadow box, which my brother-in-law put together for him. Don is a full time high ranking Navy boy and he researched and got some long overdue metals to my Dad for his Marine duty. Just a beautiful glass case, dark mahogany maybe, Corp and American flags and his 8 or so metals. I've got to snap a picture because the official Marine photo of him in the middle is just classic, with him standing in front of his F4U.

He's been moved into Boston for some tests tomorrow, which is where I'll be spending my day. If all goes well maybe I can sneak away on Monday or Tuesday, anyone feel like tagging along...give me a shout.

GS - we'll put in a good word for your dad!!! Similar thing happen to a friends father less than 1 year ago. He's almost fully recovered since.

So your dad flew Corsairs in WWII or just afterwards? He may like the Quonset NAS museum & air show down here in Rhody. Lots of nice little toys.

GS, sorry to hear of your dads' hospitalization. I hope he is well soon.

Try to get a pic of that case, I'm sure others would be intrested in seeing it.
We just watched the tape of Pearal Harbor the other night, that was some very realistic filming.

GS hope your dad feels better soon! My wife had a shadow box made for her dad with his WW2 medals and a pic too. He loved it! BTW hit one of my winter LM spots on the Cape, slow bite but got a few including a 6.1 lber. No ice there yet.

Thanks for all the kind words and support. He's still getting a bunch of tests, they think he had a TGA and they are testing for additional blockage. Thanks to all.
