Looking at which C-Map chart to get. I want Boston harbor to down LI sound. The Me to Narr Bay one covers a little beyond Montauk but how much past there??

Thanks,

John

BTW - Navman is running a $175 rebate on their chart plotters so I picked up a 5" color 5500 for $506 + $7 shipping, less the $175 is cheap for a color chartplotter. Must purchase by 6/30/05: http://www.navman.com/thedeal/images/Navman%20Deal%20of%20the%20Year%20Rebate%20Coupon. pdf

the *300/cape cod/ card/chip/ I beleive does from maine to LI....I like the world map that comes with it...you can pick out a single dock anywhere around the world.

I have *300 as well as the east coast one and they are both very good, lots of neat info and stuff. surprisingly very accurrate. had the west marine guy in narrangansett burn it for me, i forget the price but it was pretty good. just make sure to match it up with the type of receiver you use...but i'm sure you know that. good luck

My problem (and this is where map companies shine) is that I want one for say Cape Anne to NY city but in order to do that I would need the Me to Narr Bay and the Cape to NJ... Just trying to be cheap...

I bought a Navman 5500. Small unit and relatively cheap but it is color and about $335 after rebate plus I will add the fuel sender to get GPH info, about $70. And I'll keep, for now, my Furuno LS6000 B/W

My dream unit would probably be that new Humminbird Side Imaging unit or one of the Raymarine digital jobbers

JohnR We have the Raymarine C120 its a 12 inch screen, kinda like watching fishing on TV. We have the chip that covers ME to the Canyons out 120 miles I believe.
