View Full Version : Stupid boaters.... Stupid stupid stupid stupid boaters.
likwid 07-01-2005, 08:39 AM That shouldn't be in boats.
So over the weekend one of the boats I race on was happily sitting at its mooring. The owners sister decides to (crash) first go over to their private dock and pick up his wife! They wanna see the great new boat!
Now, you might know what happened here just by that previous (), well her being the self proclaimed GREAT boat driver in her pretty new Searay breaks the padanaram no wake rule (gets yelled at) goes over to said boat I race on and tries to come along side.
Oh it gets good.
Comes towards the boat going down wind with the bow (with a prominently placed oversided danforth) and hits reverse on the I/O without turning the wheel first.
Yep, danforth right into the brand new Gelcoat.
DUG it in down to the glass.
......
Puts it in forward and bounces the anchor AGAIN off the boat and finally comes along side and gouges the toe rail.
......
DOSEN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING BUT HOLD ON FOR 5 SECONDS THEN WANDER OFF!
......
Said sister didn't dare tell the owner.
She let his wife tell him.
Moral of this story?
I'm gonna start writing politicians for there to be tests/licensing to allow people to buy/own/pilot boats.
Because I'm seriously sick of all the idiots that have been out there already this year.
ProfessorM 07-01-2005, 11:53 AM They will be out in force this weekend. P.
ThrowingTimber 07-01-2005, 12:45 PM You kinda chuckle to yourself when they go plow over rockpiles that are covered by 3 feet of water....

heres one Likwid.. i am down in virgin gorda at a marina filling our water tanks at the fuel dock. a boat ( a crewless moorings rental boat) comes in to the dock down wind with all sails up and expects me to catch their bow line. yeah right...... :rotf2: Had I done it, i could have done some serious serious damage :hihi: They were so confused that i wouldnt take their lines they simply sailed away :nopain:
RIROCKHOUND 07-01-2005, 01:19 PM Yup.. I'll be in a 60ft box doing 6knots dodging them all weekend :-(
likwid 07-01-2005, 02:33 PM Howabout the paint marks on Hussey's Ledge?
:hihi:
beachwalker 07-01-2005, 03:51 PM that sucks likwid
but truly the moral of the story is to not bother being a "Bobby Big boat/Johnny Offshore"...
hehehe
couldn't help myself....
yo Likwid I presume you are the BN on this boat???? shouldnt you have defended your ship at all costs??? :hihi:
likwid 07-02-2005, 10:14 AM BN? pfft shouldn't you be chasing captain leroy and his load of coal to find fish? :D
foredeck and watch captain.
i stopped having to clean boats when i was 16.
bassmaster 07-02-2005, 10:43 AM i fished the islands and was for the most part a woods hole fisher. as i lived in falmouth
i cant begin to tell you bout the stuff i seen and people i have helped out.
i would never say that eels at night work there right now
likwid 07-02-2005, 10:50 AM couldn't help myself....
yeah but if it wasn't for the bastards i sail/work for your little paradise would be renamed Kennedyland. :hihi:
BM: devils foot.
or howabout that fish boat that decided to attack the naushon side rock piles and sit there for 3 days like 5-6 years ago?
bassmaster 07-02-2005, 10:57 AM yeah right as you go over and the can is on your left, incoming is awsome there
but i have balls and fish the other side to.
actually you can drift of #8 in that hole and end up passing there depending on wind
is rob suda still around.
i use to idle my boat into pine island and parellel cast it was good at times
but accross from the foot is real good and slack tide is great i know the holes:D
fished there at night ion the fog, friggen nuts but the beacon freom steam ship was my guide
i like the braods on broadway
My neighbor went down in his commercial rig of the rip bt the channel going into cc
he wasnt piloting the boat and just had her redone
if you go back maybe you will remeber rigging sticking out of the water. you find that anbd fish mid tide up right now and you will find fish.
i knw shtuff........
miss my house in falmouth

I work for a living. the summer happys are only here for 10 weeks....
I don't care how much money they have. Many are pleasant, quality people and many are just plain jack-offs. Sailboat racing is lame over here and I like it that way. No Johnny offshore, vest wearing skippies except during the figawi waste of a race. Opera house is a bunch of homos. This year they are gionna have lasers. psyched to pound on the skippies with my blue collar butt. :laugha: :laugha: :laugha:
likwid 07-02-2005, 12:17 PM the owners don't know how to race anyhow, they just buy the beer. :laugha:
figawi used to be fun, now its just an excuse for retards to get a Mount Gay hat.
