wearing waders, korkers, jacket, belt, sospenders.
But then today I saw a guy wearing none of the above, darn near end up in the water in a heavy surf along the rocks. Hate to think what might have happened if he did end up in the drink ( I hope he's a strong swimmer).
Korkers and sospenders will always have their place on me when I'm on the rocks or in heavy surf.....

add some fish close to shore blitzing and people do stupid things and make bad decisions. Many are summer tourists, many are not.
I pulled some moron out of the water the other day.I was fighting a 30 an walkin back off the jetty to a landing spot an I see this guy floating in the water I handed my rod to my friend an turned the gaff around well he had a hard time garbbin it an was starting to fade.I yelled at him to grab the handle.if a wave lifts him an he hits his head he will be in trouble.well i get him to the side an the fish is hooked to his leg via 4/0 trble the guy was a mess barnacle scrapings, lost rod an reel, cold an fish on his leg. we cut it off an someone called a ambulance. He had korkers on but not the right gear to handle the fish he had.Nobody saw how he ended up in the drink. With out a gaff goin down to get a good fish can be tougher than it seems my guess was he got washed off tryin to land it, the fish. The wave of blitz fishin here brings em all out.Everyone around here has a fishin pole of some sort.things happen.
