If I may ask.. what was the winning cast, and who threw it? Also, is this set up as an open, (combined), or is there spin and convench categories?

Come on Karl....this is a "Team" competition not an individual competition! Wash down those sour grapes with a little home brew and count the days until next year! :gu: If you behave...we might let you MBBA guys visit the trophy....until then the posted picture will have to do! :bl:

You use the rod you fish with......20 pound mono for line. Your guys all threw convench...11 foot long rods. We threw mostly spinning and wound up winning! :jump:

Larry, no sour grapes  just asking a question or 2.. wasn't there, just inquiring... I could give a rats arse who wins, honest injun, just wondering what the set up is... Chill, oh tall one. :D

Internet error, no vocal inflection.. sorry if ya took it that I had a hair planted.. I don't.

By the Way, belong to both clubs, so my guys win, either way..... :hihi:

So, it has to be 20 pound mono line? Is that the rule?

Just ribbing you Karl....the difference yesterday was who could keep it in bounds....there was a tricky breeze. Your guys can cast a country mile I gots to tell ya! There is a deduction of distance the further off the center mark you are Karl.....you want to try to be dead center and throw long.....the judges measure how far off the line you are and that distance is deducted from your overall distance. You cast 310 feet long and your cast was off center by 18 feet...it is deducted giving you 292 feet. Get it?

By the way....the MBBA guys are a class bunch and we all had alot of fun....the interclub rivalry is the fun part and it brings 2 great fishing clubs together. I am also a member of both Karl.....but you got to know where your allegiance lies in a competition like this. :hee:

I guess....I had 15 pound mono on my rod and had to use BasicPatricks outfit as he had 20 on his. :tm:

Great distance casting wouldn't have anything to do with...shall we say....a certain center of gravity now ....would it. :laughs:

Trust me I have room to joke about it...
