I know how effective eels are at night for stripers, but how are they during the day? Or would it be just as good trolling Tubes?

Regards, Dave zacs 07-15-2005, 10:36 AM my dad caught a 28lb fish on my boat drifting eels durring the day a week or so ago through a fast moving rip. i haven't even trolled a tube n worm yet this year, but i bet it would work too. ya just gotta find the fish. bluefin22 07-15-2005, 10:46 AM YES you can. Here are some my and my dad caught last year on live eels. Also biggest this year on eel 31.5 in. I freeline them on top of schools i see when they hit the bottom BAM... You get the picture.. redlite 07-15-2005, 12:49 PM They work. Boat loads of big fish to prove they do. SBASS1 07-15-2005, 02:21 PM You will catch during the day, but you better bring a metric ton. Bluefish can here a live eel during the day in the water 200 miles away... Emily Rose 07-20-2005, 08:29 AM Thanks Guys. I'll take a few along with me over to Billingsgate on Saturday. Regards, Dave vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
