Yeah Don...we share the same sacred first rule of fishing among buddies...."Don't Be Late"! Kick him to the curb! :behead:

You can be late to work, late to dinner, even late for your own funeral. But late for fishing!!!!?Sorry, but I just don't understand THAT....

I'm pretty steadfast on that one. If I say I am leaving at 9PM then I am leaving at 9PM. No waiting around. Leave on him and he will get the message.

that stuff drives me craaaazy. i cant stand waiting for people who are late. 80% of the time this year i have fished alone.. i was just too sick of dealing with people who were late or wanted to go home early :yak:

I almost never arrange to travel to fish with someone. meet them where you fish and you don't have to worry about waiting for them.

the only time this method doesn't work is when there is limited parking(if any) or if you are concerned about drawing to much attention with multiple vehicles

what would you do?

I'd go alone. You only need to do it once to get the message across.

If you chose not to drop him, tell him your gonna leave an hour and a half before you actually are. Then make him wait and see how he likes it. I usually say meet me, and start fishing when Im supposed to, maybe they can find me.

you're a sports fan, right don? 3 strikes and you're out. eben touched on sore subject with me, asking to go home early when we're on the water. knowing full well my intentions for the night. can't stand it.

horrible, thanks for askin' though. retired after 14 years of softball this year to fish more and with more of you than i ever have. well you know where this story is going. a buddy on my team busted up his knee and they called me up to play for him for a few weeks, very bad idea. 4th game back, routine fly ball, and POP. 100% ruptured right achilles. surgery on the 12th, 2 days before my 33rd birthday and now i'm in a hard cast until the end of sept. no fishing, swimming or driving my street rod for nearly 3 months. just been sitting home for 3 weeks getting more and more frustrated (read jealous)at the quality and quantity of fish you guys are getting. save some for me if i can get on the water in october, will ya? thanks again for asking bud. hope to see you soon.
