Karl F 07-31-2005, 08:35 AM Don't worry about that Mike....lots of time for skunks....it ain't gonna slow me down one bit! :laughs:
The grass can grow tall....the paint can peel from the wall....from April to November is for fishing remember....I can cut the grass and paint the house in December! :laughs:
:laughs: I dunno Larry, sounds good, but,.. I think you will find, that you, (like me), are one of those "Pride in Ownership Guys", and will be doing your fair share of "fishing season" maintenance, and projects.. course sometimes I got my other half doing this: :lasso: :lasso: to "get r done"... like today.....
BigFish 07-31-2005, 08:51 AM Karl....its kids that rob you of fishing time, and mine are big boys now.....the house can be worked on all winter inside and the outside only needs shingles so they can be done in Spring......don't worry all you fish hogs......I will be out there geting all the schoolies I can muster up. :laughs: The house needs alot of interior updating, which is no sweat....looking forward to it!
:lasso: <Fishchick
Karl F 07-31-2005, 08:56 AM Larry, got a son 19 and a daughter 14, good kids, love 'em, but, keeps me from fishing more now, than when they were younger... gotta stay heavily involved in them teen age years, nowadays...... teenagers will ruin ya, one way or the other ;)
BigFish 07-31-2005, 09:00 AM If I don't breath.....I die! If I don't Eat....I die! If I don't fish.....I will be one miserable bastard! :laughs:
Flaptail 07-31-2005, 09:42 AM When do the plugs go on sale?
BigFish 07-31-2005, 09:48 AM MMMmmmmmmmm......never! :rude:
Raven 07-31-2005, 11:24 AM think:  concrete slab for the shop.... and once you have the building permit
you can throw a S-B BBQ "shop building party" and get it all done in a single
weekend instead of bit by bit in between fishin and work ...or next year.
then you'll have a better place to do all of your plug painting instead of in the
cellar. hmmm ..... just an Idea.... big guy.
more power to ya.....
Slipknot 07-31-2005, 11:56 AM Thanks Slip....I see Bassmaster got at your avatar! :laughs:

agreed - far less work
Raven 08-01-2005, 11:44 AM agreed - far less work
is to plant ivy after you put down a open mesh fabric landscaper cloth.
then you can have flower beds and all that...
you can still have a small lawn somewhere that takes only a few minutes to cut
thats the only real way to not become a lawn slave.:lasso:
spence 08-01-2005, 11:49 AM We've cut a lot of grass out and built raised planting beds. Takes effort and some money up front, but the result is blooms all season long with very little time to maintain. Mulch it in the spring and weed as necessary.
A little grass is nice, but the big lawn is overrated.
-spence
BigFish 08-01-2005, 11:55 AM I agree Spence....sun burnt and short is how I like my lawn! :laughs:
S-Journey 08-01-2005, 12:35 PM Congrats Larry
The Dad Fisherman 08-01-2005, 12:47 PM I agree Spence....sun burnt and short is how I like my lawn! :laughs:
If that the case then I can share my Lawn Care techniques with you. That's how I keep mine...:D
BigFish 08-01-2005, 01:01 PM Technique #1....Neglect the lawn.
Technique #2....Repeat technique #1. :jester:
BigBo 08-01-2005, 01:30 PM Nope. Step one is to cut it as short as possible. Speeds up the fruitful rewards of a burnt lawn. :rotfl:
fishweewee 08-02-2005, 09:47 AM Larry and Fishchick,
