Love catching those little buggers. outfished 08-01-2005, 12:28 PM I'm not sure, but the softshells are still around at the markets. YUM! Rob Rockcrawler 08-02-2005, 01:15 AM i did a ton of crabbin down in CT till last year, tried in MA a few times but always gopt skunked. Are they very plentiful up here? Id love to grab a dozen for some crab cakes. They are in in CT right now, but looks like another slow season, the past 2 have totally sucked. Cold and wet during the spring screwd things up pretty bad, hopefully it gets better during august. BrianS 08-02-2005, 04:40 AM exactly what you said.. very slow the last couple years... i will admit i havent tried all my spots, but the 1-2 that I have, have seen much better years. so yes.. hopefully it will pick up a bit. striperboy3754 08-03-2005, 03:24 PM My best friend owns a place in chatham and there is a beach up the street and me and him have crabbers and we catch big crabes with perriewinkly or snails... if you do it our way all you need is a pice of squid clam mackril or any thing you use for fishing and cut up into chunks and tied to string... BrianS 08-03-2005, 03:58 PM all i need is a piece of rancid chicken and a string.. same difference.... :) well.. maybe a net too. BobT 08-03-2005, 06:18 PM Heading for Jersey in 2 weeks and looking for some good crabbing. striperboy3754 08-04-2005, 06:23 AM Question do you need a license to keep the crabs...   Dont you onily need a licens in saly water if you are clamming or useing traps... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
