...When was the earliest date that you caught a Striper on??...

...Now traveling far from home doesn't count.(NO TRIPS TO THE CAROLINA'S) ...and GS, I know your probably still into em' over there....so I guess this thread is mainly for Mass and RI guys...sorry. :( and I know the Joisey folk are gettin em' too...and YES, Im jealous...thats why you guys dont' count...:D

...My earliest to date, would have to be on Fool's day...in the WeeWeantic...;) on my small Fin~nor. April 1st...since then, that's the date I've used to start my Striper-ing...a little before, and a LOT after...

..with enough sharing ;)...maybe I should be starting sooner, in different places...:D

April 14th was the earliest date at which I caught bass but thats not including holdovers. I am sure they arrive earlier just don't put any real effort untill the last week of april once the herring are in full swing.

Not sure----does last week count as the latest of last season, or the earliest of next? :D

Earliest new fish would be April first also. As that is my b-day and I would always go down to the slocum river in Dartmouth and get at least one fish at the narrows. But last spring I did go to New Bedfrod the 2nd of March and got 8 nice 5-10# fish but these are all hold overs I'm sure.

hey GB, guess we're both aries, my b-day is 4/2. as for the stripers in westport river... the river has been filling up with shad in the later part of fall.. and i know of 3 holes, 2 in the east branch and the other in the west branch. i haven't tried fishing them in the winter latel, but i know there would be enough marine life to support them. hmmm maybe i'll slip out to one of the holes on a bluebird day and check it out. when i was a tad bit younger i used to fish one of the holes for winter flats and never picked up any stripers, then again wasn't really trying for them.

OK this is spooky I am 4/18. Maybe we should have a birthday fling on one of those rivers. Earliest for me was around may 3rd.
