Anybody ever spray acrylic over epoxy or is it to smooth to adhere?

I bet if you scuff the epoxy flat it will make a great base/sealer for acrylic. Seems a little pricey though.

I do . When I do my fancy smancy paintjobs I epoxy the plug before hand so the paintjob is between epoxy, Its not as smooth as a finish coat of epoxy because a sand it a little. I also use a primer before I paint it.

dumb question- why?

I had a plug fall out inside my spinner and it got marked up. Tried to buff out the black marks to no avail.

Would like to repaint and then epoxy rather than epoxy over the marks.
Want to be sure i'll get the adhesion.

Thanks SK. I would have painted right over the epoxy without priming again. :wall:

Maybe end up turnin this surfster into a sub surfster with the added layers. :err:
