I've been searching for a rod(s) holder for the inside of my cap on my full size truck. I'm tired of taking the chance that my gear gets damaged by other equipment shifting around while driving. I've already had to replace an eye on a boat rod from a cooler banging into it. I've seen everything some cheap-o's to pretty expensive. I'm thinking of a rig that I can attach to the ceiling of my cap. Anyone out there recommend a good set-up? I appreciate any help.

Easy enough to make with any of the various plastic rod holers screwed into an appropriate sized piece of wood and eithe screwed or glues to the cap.

IF you are looking for commerical

There are some over-head rod holders available out there for vans and SUVs, I am sure they will work in cap.

Not sure if anyone local sells them, but I know of a few websites that sell them.

If you need the websites - PM me and lemme know

I have rod holders inside my cap made by rod saver .

Rod SaverŪ Vehicle Rod Carrier

Holds 7 rods conveniently. No drilling required. Spring clips allow easy removal for storage when not in use. Adjustable from 40" to 72". Designed to fit all types of trucks, campers, vans, or Suburbans

cost 17.00 and has worked well for freshwater and 1 and 2 piece saltwater rods . I have had this for a # of years and works well for me .

Thanks guys, saw one at Cabelas that looks decent. Chris, I'll take a look at that, sounds like what I'm in the market for.

I'm leaning towards this one carried by cabelas for $39.00. I've already busted two eyes on separate rods :wall:
