Got Stripers

I got the quote on the shift problem fix from the Weymouth dealer $380 parts/$280 labor to install the new gear set, seals, etc. If your a do it yourself guy, the lower unit was dropped and replaced to get that estimate. I'm going to take the opportunity to upgrade to a 4 stoke, but this is a good engine for anyone looking. It's strong, clean, starts every time, just needs the lower unit repaired.
It's a 1996 DT150S, 2.7 liter, elec. fuel injection, brand new 33C supreme shift/throttle cables last year on my Lund 1890 ProV, control box, tach, and stainless prop. I'm still fishing, so I can run it in or out of the water. It will go into reverse, might be able to coax it into forward manually to run the engine up. If I felt like spending the $660, I know this motor would easily fetch the high book value of $4350, so I'm asking $2,700 as is. Seasons getting closer so as of today 2/17/02, that price is now $2,000.
If anyones interested give me a call at the office 781 293-6222, thanks.
