I wish I was in RI...I got 5 eels cooling off in my fridge since I don't have a live well. Maybe I just need to go fishing tomorrow. :usd:

Ive pretty much stocked the upper bay as I cant keep them things alive for more than one day. Maybe thats why the lady at the garden shop suggested I get a cactus??? But I'll def. drop them off :uhuh:

Listen, I have eels that last a month or more. I use and old ccoler as a eel tank and 2 cheapo Wally world aerators. 4 air hoses into the tank and I keep the tank in the back of the garage where it is cool. I change the water every 3 days and never have more than 18 eels as the water gets dirty too fast.
Has worked for the last 5 years. Every once in a while I will lose 1 eel but I think that the ones I loose are sick anyway.

I used to do the same thing to purge(starve) my eels before riggin em on tinsquids.Have em for months. They would litterally get like shoe strings. At first i would change the water often because the eat there own poop.after a while the water would no longer get dirty an i wouldn't have to change it out so often.
