i picked up my new boat last week an 18 foot parker , traded in my 17 sea pro , the parker has a much larger live bait well , no casting platform for more practical use and a 4 stroke motor and it rides sweet the only problem now other than finding time to use it is it has a 60 gallon fuel tank , don't even want to think about filling it . broke it in last weekend with some boo fish but realy want to try to get a sbft :D

good luck with it.
looks like i sold my gas pig grady in the nick of time :rotf3:
Mine is 160 but I try to keep it at 100 or less. The extra 60 is around 400 lbs...
At 8 GPH at 26kts it gives me good range. When the gauge reads E I still have around 50 gallons...

Congrats on the new ride. If it make you feel any better mine holds 300 gallons (of diesel).

I have the same setup. Bought it new this spring. Very stable boat. I have had it in some snotty water and the boat took it well. I have run it over to the Elizabeth Islands on good days.
It is reasonably economical. The boat will move right along. I put a Garmin chartplotter/fishfinder on it and it makes for a nice setup.
Enjoy.

Congrats. My 18' Grady also holds 60 gallons. Goes along way even with a 2 stroke SWS Yam on the back. I'm guessing you have a four stroke so you'll be fueling up less than me!!
CONGRATS on the boat.
4.10 per gallon at DYC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If these fuel costs hold look for the powerboat industry to run aground...hard.
There should be some good deals on larger boats though as there will be a load of them for sale.
