Ok so im flipping around the TV tonight and came accross a Red Cross relief telethon MSNBC was doing with celebritys and whatnot. Well rapper Kanye West gets up and says the Natianal guard is down in N.O. shooting innocent black people and then states that George Bush hates all black people. What a way to get people to donate dont ya think? :hs:

Kanye West can take his issues and cram them up his baddah bing hole.....everything is always about race with the african american folk for cryin' out loud! I am sick and tired of hearing it! Fortunately for me I missed his little diatribe.....but from what I heard he was saying something to the effect of "if white people loot it is for food and if black people loot they are criminals"? Well.....from this camp, if you loot food and necessities to survive...these would include food, water and clothing by my estimation.....then I got no problem with that, but when you are walking down the street with tv sets and valuables......you are a miserable, worthless piece of shiite' as far as I am concerned...BLACK OR WHITE! To me trash is trash and race does not factor in for me! People who think like this "Crapper" Kayne West or whatever his worthless piece of trash name is need to remove their head from their buttocks! :rocketem:

About Day three those were my thoughts. If they were white, things would have been handled differently. West coulda expressed himself a little better, but there it is all over my TV. There is way too much us vs them at all levels in this country. There's us. And we're not getting our money's worth from our leaders.
poor form IMO.. thats not the place nor the time.

poor form IMO.. thats not the place nor the time. Agreed....but didn't I say this was going to be the reaction from a lot of people a few days ago in another post I started where I got ripped by so many people?
I think MANY people felt this way a few days after the hurricane hit while nothing was being done for those poor people......I wouldn't say it is a black versus white issue, as much as it is a "wealthy" versus "poor people" issue.....it's just that in New Orleans the vast majority of the poor people are Black Americans.
The wealthy had the means to get out before the hurricane hit....so all that were left were the poor (read -- mostly Black). Again, I'll ask the same question....if this hurricane had hit Beverly Hills or some other "wealthy" city, how quick would the government had responded? Pretty damn quick IMO -- given that the politicians need these wealthy people to fund their next election campaigns, and can't afford to piss off their potential campaign contributors........... :-(
