Do you guys think that there was a time when there was a big run of salmon up the bay(narr) to the river? I'm talking like 1800's maybe? I wish they could get the atlantic salmon re-established. They have been trying for long enough. There have been signs on wood river since I was a kid (20 years ago). _Z_ bassmaster 09-08-2005, 10:21 PM sweet Bernzy 09-09-2005, 01:31 AM Nice fish :kewl: That red one is lookin' for the Smoker ;) Bernzy Karl F 09-09-2005, 11:18 AM :kewl: Looks like you had a great vaca, other than the hook in hand deal. chris L 09-09-2005, 02:17 PM actually it was proof to the crew that I am nuts . It was cemented when they realized I wasn't carrying a shotgun and would leave the group and walk 1/4 mile up river searching for bigger kings . I pretended that there were no grizzlies around , but there were . I also found a whooly mammouth tooth ( over 10,000 years old ) while beach combing on norton sound .
