Pt.JudeJoe 09-11-2005, 09:07 AM As the day JFK was shot..,one of history's tragic milestones. The "safe " post war world changed to a more cynical, suspicious one on Nov 22, 1963 ,and we are looking over our shoulder even more after sept ,11 ,2001.Makes me wonder where this bus is going sometimes. :( The Iceman 6 09-11-2005, 09:16 AM Saw the 2nd tower buckle, it's a sight that I remember like it was yesterday, very sad. The next day, went rollerblading down to do something, anything, got turned away b/c line was too long, people on the streets with signs, support, the amount of vechiles (trucks, police, fire engines, military, bulldozers, any Tonka toy you could imagine) going to the site was surrreal, people cheering, giving water, crying, all of it was there, one sign in particular I'll never forget, it said "YOU HAVE JUST MADE US STRONGER, THANK YOU." Prayers and thoughts with the families. Ice Clammer 09-11-2005, 09:38 AM Still Speachless & angry // often think about the people that [saw]] 9/11 ,I can,t even begin to imagine their feelings //// T & P for all .......... Was at a Girls Varsity Soccer Game this AM, was scheduled to kick off at 9, the field announcer was a class act, he had both teams take the field early on, the spectators stand, and face the flag. We stood in silence, he only spoke to announce the times each of the planes hit, for remembrance, then the Star Bangled Banner, another moment of Silence, Then the game commenced. justplugit 09-11-2005, 11:31 AM They are counting on us to forget.:af: Lost 2 young friends just starting out in life,24 and 28.
