Redsoxticket 09-17-2005, 04:49 PM These are pictures of Hurricane Bob are from Narragansett, RI. Wind speed 105 mph, surge 6-10 ft above mean.
I remember that day on August 19, 1991. I was the only one traveling southbound from Johnston, RI on an adventure. I guess only the diehards go out in the middle of a hurricane.

Rappin Mikey 09-18-2005, 08:22 AM 6/27/05 Race pt. Even though the white water in this pic isn't generated by the surf, and the picture is a little old, I thought I'd enter it anyaway. I tweaked it a little bit (more color by adjusting contrast). Check out the size of the hump about 3/4 of the way up on the right hand side a few inches in.
BigFish 09-18-2005, 09:00 AM Rappin' Mikey wins! :bgi:
leptar 09-18-2005, 09:12 AM The mouth of the Sakonnet, well close enough neways Saturday around 1pm...

Fish_Eye 09-18-2005, 10:11 AM Tattoo, there are some truly great shots already submitted, here are a few I shot of Sunny Bun fishing off Beavertail yesterday afternoon.

last week before disembarking. not a "great" photo but it was the feeling in my soul as I looked up to grab the stick and a night such as that just hits one in the heart.
CapeDawg 09-18-2005, 11:20 AM These aren't big surf related, but I have a few sunrise/sunset pics in albums. Thought I'd share them.

beachwalker 09-18-2005, 11:43 AM Aha....

North wind, incoming....
you know diggin...
Diggin Jiggin 09-18-2005, 12:15 PM Beachwalker, I knew you'd get that one. :)
Is there anything better than getting out there and having that 20 yards of sand all to yourself ? My dad and I were out there at the end of august, had it all to ourselves 3 nights in a row. Small fish but hey some of em had stripes... Kind of different than the asses to elbows we had back in June& July, and that I'm sure I'll see when I get back down @ the end of the month.
T-12 days n counting
beachwalker 09-18-2005, 03:47 PM that place is gold in October/November
great shot. I'll bring my camera tonight, for sure.....
mail me before you leave and tell what your driving. we'll take a few casts...

Bass Babe 09-19-2005, 02:32 AM Rhody. This Saturday. People were fishing/sightseeing in some darn crazy areas. I snapped pics quickly and left, so as not to feel obligated to try to save their behinds when they got swept into the water.

I must fish that spot 40 times a year.
way to go diggin !
wish the rip still looked that way. the past couple of winters changed it but it still does similar stuff depending on wind and tide.
Backbeach Jake 09-19-2005, 07:27 PM My Youngest Brothers up from Kentucky Columbus Day '01
macojoe 09-19-2005, 08:55 PM Congrats!! Diggin!!

Diggin Jiggin 09-20-2005, 05:44 AM Wow, I am completely psyched. Tattoo thanks so much !
I'll put them thru their paces when I'm down there, trust me !
That rip is made for big swimmers. I'll be in touch w/ a pm.
Fish_Eye 09-20-2005, 09:29 AM Nice job Diggin Jiggin, now you can use your Tattoo lures and take some nice shots of a few cow bass.
Bass Babe 09-20-2005, 09:39 AM Nice job, DJ. Now you'll be diggin pluggin.
Thumb-Burner 09-20-2005, 12:03 PM My 6 year old daughter at the OBX in NC.. 24 inch blue on the other end... notice she's using conventional. :uhuh:
doyle007 09-20-2005, 01:13 PM Thumb Burner, sweet shot. My daughter that just turned three is begging me to build her a pink rod so that she can go fishing with me. I can't wait until she hooks up. I'll be in the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving week, so hopefully I can get her hooked up to something of a reasonable size to reel in. Maybe one of those famed OBX rockfish, as they call them down there.
Mike P 09-20-2005, 09:08 PM Might be made for big swimmers, but I'll betcha you'd be Diggin Jiggin if you dredged the bottom of that rip, too ;)
Bass Nut 09-21-2005, 10:46 AM I took these up at Plum Island over the weekend. Fished a little, didn't catch chit, but no one else was either.

zimmy 09-21-2005, 11:29 AM Congrats diggin...
I get the idea that the location is a boat ride away... Assuming it's where I think it is, I was there once when I was maybe 6. I remember I was nervous because my father told me to stay well back from the water. My grandfather took a 51" bass on a redfin right near there. Memories :scatter:

This little guy is going to be one heck of a surfcaster when i am done with the early brainwashing process :rotf3:
Rappin Mikey 09-21-2005, 01:58 PM I've only fished that rip once. (GP) All I got was a four foot dogfish. Still one of the fishiest looking places from shore I have ever seen.

Awesome :btu:
Swimmer 11-18-2005, 05:00 PM but who you are with. While this picture is not of waves breaking on shore or a blitz it certainly represents something that is great about the mass stripedbass association. And that is the mystery trips where a bunch of people get together who don't know each other follow one or two people around who act as guides and fish together.
basswipe 11-19-2005, 06:20 AM This is old , think someone had already one swimmer.
You would be correct.Wish I'd noticed that before I posted.
