i found a mint comercial eel pot on the side of the road today while driving home from work-
this aint no minnow trap, but a full on commercial eel pot- rubber coated wire mesh kind.

Used to kill mummies that way for flukin; got some eels as well...

Never tried this but I heard bagels were great since they lasted longer than stale bread.
