Small welded aluminum, no draft, no maintenance, fuel efficient. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some more info about the boat in the picture ? I did a search on Quintrex and did not come up with anything that looked like that one. Also whats the general ballpark on the price tag ? Thanks, -Dave Clammer 09-27-2005, 12:02 PM Dave they are high-end but awesome // I looked at the 19' when I was looking for a boat /I really liked it /but had a problem with the price .. We heard the other nite that thay are going to be sold in the USA anymore // they are made in Australia / & the S & H made the price TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO high /// I will go by the dealer in S/Co for you today to see if he has any left ... if your can,t find one of those I,m very happy with my Duranutic /// Mike Diggin Jiggin 09-27-2005, 12:22 PM Mike, thanks for offering to stop by the dealer but don't bother. I'm not ready to take the plunge yet. I just didn't know if there was a local dealer who carried them. If so I just wanted to get some info from them. Seems like the welded aluminum is the way to go and I'd love to see a few more places carry them, but so far what I've seen is pretty big $$$. I've got a lot of research to do to see if its even worth doing. if it was short money thats one thing, but serious $$$$ means I'd need to use it more than I probably would. Clammer 09-27-2005, 01:24 PM Go to their site ///Quantix ProfessorM 09-27-2005, 01:33 PM If you had a nice tin boat you would use it all the time. My 14 foot tin boat, not welded, is going on 15 years old and never a leak and I have done no maintience at all. Picked it up for $700 with engine. A purchase you will never regret if you like to fish. paul Flaptail 09-27-2005, 02:08 PM My Mirro-Craft 14' Deep Fisherman is 36 years old, riveted every one inch on center, nada leaks. It's still fishing and has some history besides. Lost count how many bass, blues, False Albacore, Bonito, Spanish Mackerel, Fluke, Flounder, codfish, Seabass, Scup, Salmon, Trout, Smallies, Largemouth and Pickerel have ended up on the deck of that thing. Still gotta a lot of life left in her. She has circumnavigated the Elizabeth Islands, Monomoy, fished Cape Cod Bay, Buzzards Bay, Narragansett Bay, launcehd into the Surf at Race Point and countless other places. She gets you into places ( and out of) places bigger boats cannot go and catches more fish when she does. I love that little Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! eelman 09-27-2005, 02:50 PM That is very much what I've been thinking about. Small welded aluminum, no draft, no maintenance, fuel efficient. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some more info about the boat in the picture ? I did a search on Quintrex and did not come up with anything that looked like that one. Also whats the general ballpark on the price tag ? Thanks, -Dave There is a place on the cape that sells the hull still, its $2800 just for the hull. I baught it cause the reserch I did told me it was the best aluminum boat made. And many old timers told me I could not go wrong, they are pricey but you get what you pay for, this thing is built like a tank! I wanted something to suplement my surf fishing and get away from it all now and then, this fits the bill nicely. I got a great deal, the boat only had about 15 hours on it, guy got sick and could not use it. Sold me the boat, motor, trailer, life jackets, anchors, dock lines...etc... for $5000.00 The 25hp four stroke suzuki motor retails for $3800 alone. So thats why I could not say no. I put a fish finder, GPS, ETC.. In it and all toatl spent about another grand to get it the way I wanted.... I found the boat in the boat trader mag, pick one up... Krispy 09-27-2005, 02:54 PM nice deal #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, which model is it? I saw the 15' wide-body on the Quintrex site. Thats a nice size ProfessorM 09-27-2005, 02:56 PM That's the exact boat I got too Steve. 14 foot mirro-craft deep fisherman. It's a ball. The Quintrex is a beautiful boat and well made. P. eelman 09-27-2005, 03:26 PM nice deal #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, which model is it? I saw the 15' wide-body on the Quintrex site. Thats a nice size thats the one BigBo 09-27-2005, 03:29 PM Diggin Jiggin, there's a Quintrex dealer right in Cohassett on Rte. 3A. Nice boats. Diggin Jiggin 09-27-2005, 04:08 PM Thanks guys. I'll have to go visit the dealier in cohasset & check it out. I'm in no hurry so I'll go talk to them and see what they have, and if a deal comes along in the offseason who knows. With plymouth/duxbury bay right here I've got an awful lot of protected water to play in and on nice days I'd be able to work the shorelne around rocky hill all the way down to manomet... sweeeeet BigBo 09-27-2005, 06:09 PM Perfect for that area DJ.
