Guys,
I'm putting up for auction a full day, inshore fishing trip for four people with me aboard my boat, the "Makomania." She's a 30 foot Blackwatch, twin diesel, express sportfisherman, berthed at Stone Cove Marina, at the top of the Great Salt Pond, in Wakefield, RI. Fishing dates, in 2006, and target apecies are the option of the auction winner. I can provide all the necessary equipment or you can bring your own. Depending on species selected (can do combo trips) fishing will most likely be around Block Island, maybe over to Montauk if you want to target big fluke during the spring or fall runs. Tripe will run from approxiamtely 6AM to 3PM, can be shortened at the option of the winner.
All proceeds to be sent to John R. for the benefit of the victims of hurricane Katrina. Bidding will end at 6PM on Friday October 7th. Obviously the highest bid wins. Again this trip is for up to four people, you can come with less, but not more. Happy bidding!

This is for an inshore trip. But if the price gets up high enough I might be willing to go offshore. Let me think on that for little bit.

Come on guys, no one interested? Everyone blow all their extra cash on the Katrina auctions? This same trip is also being offered on Noreast.com and the price is already up to $700! I would hope that fellow sothern N.E. fishermen could outbid those New Yawkers! :)

John,
Maybe the next time I'll ask a couple of Hooter's girls along. For now its just the fishing.

Good morning all.

Mako Mike has been good enough to volunteer his boat and his services for a worthy cause. I am hoping that no one follows this thought because enabling 4 people access to a boat from 6am - 3pm for $450 is a steal. I just chartered a boat for a lot less time for the same amount.

I am certain that there is more money able to be raised for this worthy cause because 4 people would only have to put $150 each to get the amount to $500 etc. Mike said the fishing could be done in 2006, plenty of time to plan this out.

Just a thought.
