the club challenge/tournament now benefits the Multiple Sclerosis Association, thus it is now called the MS Club Challenge. the MS proved to be a more accepting charity following the last 2 spring MS club tournaments.
other than that, the rules are correct as stated.

RIROCKHOUND 10-19-2005, 11:32 AM John; FYI there isnt any parking at SK-TB now, the lot is gated and locked... room for a couple of cars by the entrace gate, if that... they have it closed so people arent climbing all over the structure....
Bill L 10-19-2005, 04:31 PM How about the Charlestown Town beach parking lot, or East Beach Lot?
cheferson 10-19-2005, 04:34 PM What size fish has won in previous years? Also is there a bluefish catagory or just bass??
Johnny C 10-19-2005, 07:14 PM just gave me the green light to fish as I need this weekend. In laws are closeing the house for the year. One less Mass guy in RI. Thanks to all for the hospitality. Except for that D bag at the breachway....I still say F you.
STRIPER77 10-19-2005, 08:33 PM John---I'm in. PM sent.
As to " What size fish..." I think everyone has to draw their own line, but I think 30 something is the normal winner(I could be wrong).
ThrowingTimber 10-19-2005, 10:47 PM Hey john I have a small portable grill I can bring, what do you need me to bring for the bbq?
BasicPatrick 10-19-2005, 11:24 PM John,

JohnR 10-20-2005, 12:14 PM Hey john I have a small portable grill I can bring, what do you need me to bring for the bbq?
You bring the grill and Utensils, I'll being dogs & rolls - but just to clarify - you are fishing for Weekapaug? Just want to make sure you are on the correct list - thanks!
Anyone want to bring burgers and rolls?
How about the Charlestown Town beach parking lot, or East Beach Lot?
OK, how about the second EB lot? The one that is on Ninigret and the access to the OSV Beach? That has ample portable facilites, parking and is slightly less visibile to the hordes of aspiring angling teams this weekend :)
JohnR 10-20-2005, 02:26 PM Somehow get to Route 1 in South County (Washington) RI, Route 1 in Charlestown, take East Beach Rd to very end (not the lot at the end) and take left. Go about 4 yeards and you'll see the parking lot
ThrowingTimber 10-20-2005, 03:36 PM To clarify. I am fishing for Weekapaugh :hidin:
Will bring utensils and grill got it.
JFigliuolo 10-21-2005, 09:15 AM How about EVERYONE fishing for SB.com bring a nice shiney garbage bag w/them fishing this weekend? I'll have mine. Pick up some trash on the way out. Trust me. It'll make you feel good. Anyone who's humping a fifty down the beach is exempt!
Johnny C 10-21-2005, 09:22 AM In for the humping trashbag.
Ummm.....that did not sound right.
Canalman 10-21-2005, 12:18 PM I won't be able to make the cookout :(. I forgot that I have to make an appearance at the girlfriends family outing. I will be fishing though... wish I could be there.
fishaholic18 10-21-2005, 12:28 PM John, PM'd ya.

Pete_G 10-22-2005, 01:24 PM Being stuck in the shop while the surf fishing challenge is going on is a little frustrating... :wall:

kippy 10-23-2005, 07:38 AM So how did team S-B do in the tournament so far? Unfortunately I didn't help the cause with my skunk. :rocketem:
JFigliuolo 10-23-2005, 08:33 AM Worst night of the year. 1 bump 1 small blue
fishaholic18 10-23-2005, 08:46 AM F#@%^$!#$ Blues chopped up all my F^%$#@#$%% eels.

No f%^$#@$%^ Bass in RI, just f%^$#@$% Blues!!! Rat Blues!
I'm going X to get Bass. :btu:
cheferson 10-23-2005, 08:52 AM Got a dink and a high teen friday, but didnt weigh it in didnt think it would have helped much.
you might've weighed it in if i hadn't broke him off :wall:
RIROCKHOUND 10-24-2005, 08:07 AM Well; my take on the tourney
fairly typical MS/MDA tourney; it was cold, rainy and windy; the night before was glass calm and bright moon :rocketem:
RISAA won with a total of ~81lbs; largest bass at 26.7 as well
RIMS was 2nd; total in the mid 70's
Pioneer Valley was third, 66lbs (big bluefish weighed in at the bell, nice fish and still kicking on the scale, fresh!)
Newport was fourth, 65lbs (only one bluefish ~6lbs)
I didnt right down the rest of the results; maybe someone else had them...
tough weekend of fishing! anyone who weighed in fish Sat night earned em, I gave up around 1a on Sun, it sucked out there...
good to see some of the usual suspects around; DZ, Spence, Toonoc, BasicPatrick, JohnR, ReelX, BobBike; sorry I missed the cookout.. it sounded interesting.....
Good luck and have a good fall run!
