I know you guys have probably heard some bits and pieces of the story about the woman who tried to cut the baby out of another woman to steal the baby, WELL this was from my home town in PA and it was my nephew whom some of you met this summer that saved the womans life. I am pretty dam proud of Adam and My brother Andrew, thank god they caught this woman or I can tell you the other woman would never have been found. My Nephew and his mom and dad will be on Good morning america and Fox cable news and some other show tomorrow to talk about this story. I gotta tell ya when I got the call from home yesterday from my mom i was just sick about the whole thing. I am so glad that the baby lived and the mother is doing better. I know this does not pertain to fishing but many of you are friends of ours and I am just trying to deal with the situation. Please prey for the woman and her baby as she was beaten for 2 days with a ball bat and has a ton of recovery to do.

Thanks Reelecstacy, it is a totally horrible thing. We have hunted in those woods since we were kids and i can tell you they would probably have never found the woman if my nephew had not seen the car down that road. I guess he is gonna be on Fox cable news at 1 oclock today to tell the story. The media is all over the place down there around my family, this has shaken up the whole community. as it is a small little town were things like this just do not happen. It is my understanding that the woman who got assulted is doing better today but has a long way to go, but the baby is doing great, it was a little boy.

What the hell is wrong with people???? Almost makes me ashamed to be of the human race when I see things like this....thank God for folks like your nephew and your brother Jules....they are to be commended for their great work! Its folks like them that keep me going! :bgi:

Just saw your nephew interviewed briefly on the Channel 5 news report. Then brought GF to see your initial post. She was so shocked, as are we all. Adam was very well spoken. We're with you Jules!

Sorry to hear this was in your own backyard growing up. I was actually a couple of towns over from yours this week when it happened. I sell sw to hospitals for a living and Butler Memorial and Armstong Memorial are a couple of my customers. It really is scary to think this could even happen. What blows me away is when the boyfriend/husband says "oh no, my wife is nothing but a kind and loving person, she would never do anything like that".
Thank God your nephew decided to ride his quad that day!

Yes my nephew is a great kid, he spent the summer here with me and didn't want to go back to PA cause he got so addicted to the saltwater fishing. He is going to be here next summer also. He fell in love with it here. But he is a very intelegent kid, and our whole family is thankful he did what he did. The whole thing is pretty scary, but I just got off the phone with my nephew, they are on there way to NY to interview with good morning america and a few other shows. He will be on the Orielly factor at 8 pm tonight, to say the least my brother and Adam are a little overwhelmed by the media and both pretty tired. They are both looking forward to just getting back home and getting things back to normal. The woman that was beaten is also doing a little better tonight and does remember alot of what happened to her. What a shame, but thank God Adam was at the right place at the right time.

Your nephew and brother are heroes for sure...I saw them on Inside Edition tonight....Thank God the mom and baby are ok..Kudos to Adam and his Dad...I can understand how proud of them you are

I had the pleasure of meeting Adam this year, a very intellegent young man.

The news exposure and trip to New york will be a good life experience for him.

Thanks Again guys, Yes I am very pround of my Nephew and my brother. They are heading home now from NY as they just want to get back to normal, they wanted them to stay in NY till Monday to do the Today show with Dianne Sawyer, but they are exhausted and just want to be home with family. Adam called me last night around 11:30 and said he just wanted to be home. They have been on the go since the night it happended. We are just regular folks from PA who would do it again if it ever happened to be again. I HOPE NEVER!!!! We help our neighbors and they help us every day down there. Thats just the way life is for us. The phones have been ringing constantly down there and the media is everywhere. All they want to do is just get back on with there lives. We are all just so thankful that the woman and her baby survived, and hopefully the woman that did it will never get out of prison again. The whole thing is just very creepy and very sad!!!!

Your nephew (and his dad) should be honored for reacting as he did heroically to an extraordinarily stressful situation. People go to a horror movie to see something like that and he goes for a ride on his atv and finds that in real life. Stand up kid from a stand up family!
