theres another option too...

i'm not familiar with Xp sorry...

but in general all pc's are set up

to accomodate multiple users

each with there own individual settings

and their own log on identity....

then you as administrator can set

the permissions...best bet is to open

the help section type in "parental controls"

anything highlighted in blue is a link-up

If you're looking for a pretty solid child protection application, I've found the Cyber Patrol software to work pretty well...but it's pricey.

I just want to keep the kids off that Myspace site, heard a lot of bad stuff about it. I'll try the Norton security first. Thanks.

Fishaholic18...your right on the money there. I am associated with someone who notified a local school district of what was taking place on the site and even they were amazed. There were actually a couple of young female teachers that listed thier likes and dislikes on the MYSPACE.com. What some of the kids put there was outrageous. Pictures, phone numbers, and listed addresses with statements like I have to have it five times a day. Mom and dad must have been proud of that.

when using the web browser firefox...ok

theres a extension you can download that displays the IP addy
for any site you surf to...
making it quite easy to make a note of a site's ip addy
and add it to -> the no fly zone. :btu:
