Sea Dangles weighs about twice as much as me. The Ironman could hide behind that fish. I knew I should have gone further South last night.

Yeah, if you use kilograms ;)

Freakin' thing looks like it has more of a black drum's body than a bass's.

49" and 51 pounds??? C'mon those days are gone.... 49" bass now weighs about 37-41 pounds... case in point here is a 51 3/4 inch fish caught by redcrbbr last fall... care to guess the weight?

49" is right on the money 37-41# is a bad guess in this case. This fish has no belly but look at the shoulders.

heres the fish

Slingah
10-27-2005, 05:14 PM
come on fill us in
both fish are between 45-49 lbs

Canalman
10-27-2005, 05:14 PM
it was 44 pounds. I'm not trying to take away from the impact of catching a fish like that I get excited everytime. But I wouldn't guess that fish is over 41 pounds, the last 49" fish I saw went 39# pounds and it was thicker than that one.
