I could go on and on about my memories with this great man.
I am proud to say I knew him, fished with him, and he was a great friend! I picked this up on another site. I spoke to him only two-week's ago. And I new he was not well. And said he would fight it to the end! He was modest guy, but every body new he was a "KING"! You were simply the "BEST"! Rest in peace Joe!

I'm am very sad to report that the legendary captain of the Blackhawk, Joe Cordiero, died last night after a courageous battle with cancer. Many members have fished with Joe since the 70's. Words right now could not due justice to the meaningful relationship that many of us had with Joe.

Please check the Globe and Herald for wake and funeral information.

Sad news. Joe was a legend for a lot of very good reasons. I never had the pleasure of fishing with him, but I understand he knew every bump, hump and hidey hole and could always pry big fish out of them. I'm sure he will be missed. :(
