View Full Version : Clamdigger...
JohnR 03-02-2002, 08:00 PM Clamdigger is a bit sick right now and will need to lay low for a little while. Fishpart and I have talked to him a few times over the last couple weeks and we'll continue to keep in touch with him for everyone. He should be OK but just needs to take it easy for a while.
Everyone - let's put in a good word for a Clammer Style speedy recovery!
So Clammer - if you see this, get better soon or I'm gonna send my son over to Kick Yer $%&... ;) :laughs: http://www.striped-bass.com/images/new/fart.gif :humpty:

Got Stripers 03-03-2002, 09:04 AM Take care of yourself per the doctors orders, so you can get behind the wheel again soon. I fully expect the guided tour of the bay, so relax and get well.

John, I have bunches of "On the Water" and the last 6 months of Saltwater Sportsman. That's about it.
I'd be happy to lend them out.

GO FISHIN'!!!
We got out for a couple hours on Saturday, we didn't exactly slay the fish but we didn't get skunked either!
chris L 03-12-2002, 03:42 PM I dont think clammer cared if he got skunked . It was such a nice day to get out . Good for you Clammer and a pat on the back to you John for being a good friend and getting him out and his mind off of the bad things going on ! But the toilet ! lol
great foto for the front page !
Fish_Eye 03-12-2002, 03:50 PM You guys can laugh but a friend of mine was talking with one of the tugboat operators on the other side of the hurricane barrier who claims he saw a small boat go through the opening, then hook up and land a nice size striper. He hailed the fisherman with his loudspeaker and had him hoist up the fish. He said it looked like a 30 pound fish -- he was looking through his binoculars and got a good view.
I think a small boat fishing chunks off Washburn wire in the Seekonk river could expect to hook up a 30 pound plus fish any day now.
Saltheart 03-13-2002, 08:42 AM Smokey and I were there at about 2;30. saw a fly fisherman in a little boat like that but missed you guys. we talked to some guys at the Hot Club then went around to colier park. No fish for us shorebound guys. Then boaters got life easy!!
Looking good Clammer! :)
Clammer 03-13-2002, 10:54 AM Mike, we were there at 2;30, there were a few boats,a flyrodder in a oversized john boat stayed tight against the dam fos at least 3 hours
We saw fish caught from shore, right at the first discharge
one flyfisherman from shore caught 3 there in about 10 minutes
It will only get, better////
Sorry we didn/t see you-- we had to be there at the same time/////later
Saltheart 03-13-2002, 11:06 AM We saw the fly fisherman and the guys with 6 bait rods at the Hot Club and the guys tied right up at the outflow. We probably saw your boat but didn't know you were in it. Yes , it will get better fast. I'm guessing that this weekend , someone will get one off the wall! I'm not a fan of the toilet bowl but sometimes you just got to go and get a line wet.
BTW , the bait guys said that they have been getting a lot of keeper size fish and one 37 inches long. Not Sat but they said all winter they had gotten some nice fish here and there.
schoolie monster 03-13-2002, 11:26 AM Nice job guys... but Mike, I hope you weren't out there against doctors orders.
You behave yourself :)
Seriously, I hope this means you're feeling better, some laid back fishin' on a beautiful day always does wonders. Snnnniffffffff.... ahhh, the fresh air...???? Well, it was a nice day anyway.
