Anyone know if there is any real difference between the slightly older Slammers and the new ones, or if it is just cosmetic?

Just cosmetic...I got them both!

Just cosmetics, Scoobe. The reel man at the shop says they are both fine reels and we have very little problem with either.

I did some research on them a while back and there are differences. I believe it was the infinate anti-revese and something about a new handle because they had some problems with the older ones. Google it for info...
