Looks like management trying to take the heat off themselves.
What a woeful job the Bruins brass have done.

WOW!!! o'connell and sullivan should be gone, not thornton. looks like they got a bag full of pucks for their capt.

The Bruins are just trying to uphold their longstanding reputation for being the most mis-managed, pitifully run organization in Boston.....not to mention that they have not won anything of note since 1972!!! This move should go a long way towards keeping them firmly planted in the cellar of the NHL for quite a few years to come......nice work Sinden and O'Connell....you guys should be hung up by your brain stems but they might snap anyway due to the fact they are not anchored to anything substancial!:bgi:

they were one of best positioned teams after the lockout, lots of talk about building a contender. o'connell completely blew a great opportunity- randon moronic signings. sullivan's a nice guy and all, but he does'nt command the respect of his veteran players.

If anyone should be gone from this team it should be Oconnell, and Sinden. These 2 A holes are the ones who put everything on the back burner till a new collective bargaining agreement came out. They are the ones who kept insisting we were gonna be in better shape than the rest of the league. They are the ones who screwed everything up.

I can't think of a single other person in sports who got more mileage out of less achievement than Harry Sinden.

He won one Cup with a team that should have been a dynasty  He was GM for their second. Whoop-de-damn-do. Easily could have been 5 in a row and it should have been.

I agree with most about the bruins management. I don't like them. jacobs and o'connell:yak6: sullivan's an ahl coach at best. you just can't deny that the b's didn't spend all of there money trying to improve. the players didn't respond they have sucked. thornton looked hurt or disinterested, in this new style league he should have been taking the puck to the net. crashing it every shift, instead he would rather pass and hide behind net. I went to two games and watched almost all of them. to lose more than a handful of games in the third period the way they have isn't a management problem.its the players giving up. I think the b's will get more out of the 3 players than they will with Joe. He never should have been the captain.I also think its not the last deal either. I just think the b's were under pressure to spend money to attract fans and they just paid the wrong players. :wall:

Personely I'm glad Thornton is gone! Imo he's very over rated and always has been from the begining.

...like Don Sweeny...he was the biggest over rated defenseman in the NHL. Both Sweeny and Thornton where the Nomar's of the Bruins. IMO this team started going down hill when they let Brain Sutter go. They where contenders and played a grinding hockey. what realy cracks me up is all the boston media,,,all the hoop la... the the run for the cup talk.....How the F can you talk about that after one year off and rules changing ect. SHUT the F UP Dale Arnold!! Dale spoke of Don sweeny like he was #77,, was it a surprize to anyone when they booted him and knowone was interested in him? The only up lifting thing I see this year vs preveious years is they usualy start out strong then dwindle this year they can't buy a W....but you never know.

BF..you kill me for a guy who hates hockey and could careless about it you sure have alot to say.

What do you expect from a so called "die hard Pats fan "

he will proclaim himself a life long Bruins fan also!!!:laugha:

I agree..It should be Sinden that should be GONE....The last time the Bruins won the cup was the year before Sinden took over..Maybe 30 + years ago...He is a Jacobs kiss ass...He said today on WEEI that they have a long streak of making the playoffs..No %$%$%$%$..But have they won the cup???Consessions rule..Sell the most beer & popcorn Jacobs is happy...:rocketem: :wall:
