Hard to find exeptional baitcast reels.Casts smoth as silk and built like a tank.This particular reel has never been used. Anyway do a search on these they are nice reels. eelman 12-02-2005, 02:45 PM I have an older St.Croix ben doerr surf system 8 foot rod I will toss in for free.Rod is old but its in fine shape and matches this reel perfectly, This would be a light to medium setup with this rod...The rod has tons of karma ! It was a two piece that I epoxyed together so, now its a one . I might be looking to upgrade; the abus are nice but need too much TLC for me, and am debating a calcutta or another 525mag for the spring, and 75 clams is a decent price.... I fish those reels every night and never have a problem or much maint! Anyway the differences are minor, little bit different handle etc, the big diff is the new drag in the reel but, I put it in this reel so, thats moot!
