Christian 12-07-2005, 05:30 PM i fished them with the hook they come with. and they work. the hook they come with is insanely sharp, but the barb needs to be bigger, but its still nice. i still prefer the sluggos over those, its hard to really rig these with 2 hooks. i do like the purple color the houdinis come in and you can adjust the tail some because it had a tail pannel that you can remove. buy a pack theyre definitly worth a try. chief10 12-07-2005, 05:41 PM thanks christian. is the action like a sluggo ? it looks like if you left the tail as is it would swim more? without it dart like the sluggo. chief10 12-07-2005, 05:44 PM is the bottom completely slotted?? Christian 12-07-2005, 08:10 PM the bottom is all a big slot for the hook. its basically has the same action as the slug, this lure glides more because of the tail. chief10 12-08-2005, 11:57 AM Thanks! zimmy 12-08-2005, 12:23 PM i used them alot in the spring and took fish on them rigged with the hook from the package, on a 1 oz jig head on bottom in a river, and on bottom in the canal on heavier bullett heads and canal special bucktails. I really like houdinis and they hold up well (although they are a pain to rig on the lare bullets since the slit starts pretty close to the head.) I ended up winding some thread around a few of them on the jig heads and covered with 5 minute apoxy to make um last longer. chief10 12-08-2005, 12:32 PM thanks Zimmy check your pm's RIROCKHOUND 12-08-2005, 12:33 PM IMHO; they dont work any better than FinSfish or sluggos. but they are dense and cast pretty well.... I wish they were solid instead of the lil slot in the bottom B vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
