stripercrazy 12-08-2005, 11:23 PM how does one go about shaping them? belt sander. off center turning, sounds way past my skill level, thanks ed.
castn4bass 12-09-2005, 06:39 AM yes fishfearme, they are turned off center! not really that hard. just gotta go at it slow and carefull. Believe me if I can do it anyone can, I've only been turning for about a year. the rest of ya Thanks for the codo's!!
Slipknot 12-09-2005, 08:14 AM I like those leftovers. I wish I had some leftovers. I seem to cast mine into the water and lose them one way or another. I think I need to change the way I cast or be more careful.
I like the off center fishy look of those :btu:
jnski 12-09-2005, 08:16 AM wish my leftovers were as good as that.

ProfessorM 12-09-2005, 11:41 AM Very nice turning. Oh and paint too. I will Pm you my address.
steelhead 12-09-2005, 07:13 PM Is the skinny end the end that you do off center as a second step?
castn4bass 12-10-2005, 01:14 AM when you have the shape of the body done & sanded, then you position the blank so its upright level , reposition the rear stock about an 1/8 inch .Then as it spin you remove stock from just one side giving you the inverted lookat that end. play around a little to figure it out , doesnt need a lot of movement.
steelhead 12-10-2005, 07:13 AM Thanks. Sounds like a fun thing to try out over Christmas Break.
afterhours 12-10-2005, 08:33 AM very nice work!
