Y'all, I got a new job! I'll be working for AIS, Inc. (gov't contractor for NMFS) as a fisheries observer out of New Bedford starting the end of January. I'll keep you updated with what's coming up in the trawls, dredges, longlines, gillnets, etc., and if anyone has any other questions that I can answer by being out there, give me a hollar! Yay new fish job!

BB, congratulations on your new position!

:btu:

As an offshore commercial scallop fisherman I have worked with several different AIS Federal Fisheries Observers. Perhaps we'll get the opportunity to work together in the near future, although I'm not sure how much work we'll get done while exchanging striper stories!
Feel free to PM me with any questions you might have about life aboard a commercial fishing vessel.
