Worth wetting a line? I just found out that my son's Boy Scout troop is going to be camping out there the 1st weekend in April. I've never been there so i thought I nmight Multi-task while I'm there

I am always up to volunteering as an adult leader..:D

isn't there a salt pond (or two) there that holds bass all year long ?
I thought I read something about "year 'round" catches there.

Early april down there is cold and windy, 5-10 degrees colder than up here.

I'd say no to finding any migratory fish down there first week of april, probably not till you get closer to the end of april/beginning of May. There used to be some landlocked stripers in one of the ponds that gets opened to the ocean each spring but I don't know if that's true anymore. That pond was opened in the winter last year and there was a big fish kill.

Beachwalker may know for sure.

I was thinking it was a little early but I had some of that "Wishful Thinking" going on..

At least I can check the place out....I've never been there before.

Or I can try and get the scoutmaster to change it to May... :hihi:
